Some New Textiles

As I've said before, we recently moved across the country from Brooklyn, NYC to San Francisco. It has been a big change and there have been many serious hiccups preventing us from truly being settled, such as a horrible leg break for me at the start of 2012! But I really love our apartment and have been trying to make it home. Here are some new textiles I designed for our home, for blankets, curtains, pillows and other little accessories. Here's a new one for the Brooklyn Psych Fest happening on 2/28 at Glasslands - so many amazing bands are playing I can't wait! Thanks Bree for charging me with the job - I had a lot of fun!

New Poster for Arthur Magazine Benefit

Here's a new show poster for Weird Owl, Traveling Circle, and Brooklyn Street Raga Association, playing at Glasslands on January 24th. This show is a benefit for the amazing Arthur Magazine.

I have been creating these posters almost completely digitally for a long time, but this time decided to use a traditional technique. This was done in pen and ink, with a guache painting on a separate piece, which I then layered together. I'll definitely be trying this method again in the future.

this is a piece i did in watercolor and marker, for art gotham's square foot show, election 2008. if you're in new york, please come on out this saturday for the opening! i did it in watercolor and marker on a square foot of canvas to support our next president.
