2011 Tea Towel Calendar!
The holidays start a little early for those of us who make our own cards, wrapping paper, and, well, gifts (my fingers are a little numb from knitting so much! hahaha)...but I have always wanted to make a calendar that displayed the whole year on one big sheet - and this year I've finally done it!
This is my 2011 zeppelin calendar, which has been printed on a lovely linen-cotton canvas as a tea towel. I am very excited to get these in the mail - I ordered a test version and it looks great! I am going to sew them up and embroider the edges, hopefully in time to sell a few by the holidays, or at least to give away as gifts to friends and family.

Recent Inspirations
Its pretty obvious that I love a pattern, and I've been designing textiles to go into my illustrations since I first started drawing - you can see them in almost all of my images. I decided it was time to start having them actually printed as fabrics, since I also love crafting things like pillows and other little gift items.
Awesome website Spoonflower lets you upload your designs and look at them in a variety of different repeats - so cool! I ordered a batch of test swatches for these images in different fabrics - can't wait to get them in the mail! I'll definitely post an update once I use one for something! I think I'm definitely going to make a duvet cover with the fabric version of the top image...

Little Tree
I was recently contacted by a new website to do some "background" images for their users' profile pages, so I came up with this little tree! I will post an update when it launches, but record collectors, keep your eyes and ears open for it!

Victorian People
A few months ago, I was asked to make a poster for anyone to download for free on illustration pages. You can still go to the site and print yours today!
But while designing the poster, I wanted to do more with the fun, happy crowd than just have them in the shadows of the circus spotlights, so here they are, smiling and in awe of the circus in front of and above them! I did this print in 6 different color combinations and will hopefully be producing it in different forms (prints, fabric, mailers, etc.) once I find the time...please click them to enlarge!!
