Illustration Friday - Repair

So, I hardly ever do Illustration Friday, but I just happened upon it this week and remembered an image from one of my sketchbooks. I did this about a year ago, as part of a reportage project about my street in Brooklyn. This auto shop isn't around anymore though...they're putting up condos now, of course!

this is a piece i did in watercolor and marker, for art gotham's square foot show, election 2008. if you're in new york, please come on out this saturday for the opening! i did it in watercolor and marker on a square foot of canvas to support our next president.
